Given the Ambassador-class was originally meant to be a prototype for the Galaxy-class, I'd say the Ambassador-class here is pretty much there: it looks like a perfect blend of the C and D, so the Galaxy-class might not look that dissimilar. Heck, it might not even come to exist in this timeline: Enterprise-D could easily get away with being an Ambassador here.
Beautiful! It looks a lot better than the original. I hope you plan to do the Enterprise D someday. I'd love to see your take on it!
Any ideas as to what an Oberth or Nova class ship would like in the Abramsverse? Personally I never really cared much for the way the Oberth looked but I've always has a thing for small ships and I'm sure you'd make it look great!. I'm guessing that the crew would still be small, about 120 or so.
This should have been the Enterprise D in the main continuity. It looks so much better than the real one they used it's embarrassing. It's too good to be an Abramsverse ship, and I like how it has a lot of Excelsior DNA in the style of the primary hull. Beautiful work!
And again, how beautiful. If STAR TREK,would ever learn, one does not need to use studio designer's when they are all here on deivantart. I love the design of the nacelles the best,if I have to chose a point to say is best designed. But,it is just to far outstanding to ppint to any one point of it's design as best.
I just like how you are exploring how the changes in basic design will have a ripple effect on the follow-on designs, though it does beg the question, will there be a C (or an A & B for that matter) considering its unlikely the 1701 will meet the same fate as in the prime universe. Nevertheless, awesome job with making it more dynamic looking, fits perfectly with the refined design lineage alongside ~Balsavor's JJ Excelsior. [link]
